Our Christmas Tree

On Saturday, Angela and I picked out a small tree to set up in our equally small home. We then spent the next few hours making ornaments to decorate it with. I made the popcorn garland and star while Ang made the assorted ornaments. As you can see, it ended up being perhaps the greatest tree ever made by humans.

Yeah. We rock the holidays.

  1. Angela. Several weeks ago I read your feelings concerning adoption. I wanted to write a comment then but didn't know how. I hope this will go through. With me, no one ever knows!

I cried through a bit of your writing and I felt as if I had a fair understanding of ;your feelings. It brought back some tender memories for me. Years ago I had the privilege of counseling unwed mothers at LDS Social Services. The whole process is different now than it was then - but the basics were the same. Beautiful young women faced with a most defining decision in their lives - whether to adopt or to keep these precious ones they were bringing into the world. I grew to love those girls and we shared many a tender moment...at the hospital; as I carried the baby away from the mother; as I accompanied them before the judge where he so harshly (but necessarily so) told the girls what their rights (and non rights) from this time forward would be; as they left with empty arms and empty hearts.

Thank you for sharing these thoughts with us. We love you.
