365 Days of Pictures - Day 10-11

ummm - so it is much more difficult than I thought to take a picture everyday. We just do ordinary things that really don't seem picture worthy. So maybe that is what is so special about this goal after all - to appreciate the ordinary things and find what is special and unique in those moments. Here are 2 for today - even though yesterday I didn't take a picture.

For several days Loyd and I have been wanting pizza. We finally broke down. I ate all but 3 slices of the cheeseiest of cheesy medium cheese pizza. I could have eaten the entire thing, but I started getting a little heartburn. I figured even though I could fit more in, I probably shouldn't. Oh, but it was soooo good!

Since I no longer tutor, I have begun working for the publishing company Loyd works for. This is our office situation - view from the kitchen. There are pro's and con's working from home and working with/for your spouse. Luckily, it's not one of those "I'm your boss, do what I say" type dynamics. I am nowhere near humble enough to handle that. Basically, I just do the stuff that Loyd would have done, but now he has me to do those smaller, easy yet time consuming tasks.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 9

This morning we had a RS board meeting. My calling is to coordinate child care for RS meetings once a month. We were treated to a delicious breakfast (I ate 2 plates teehee) before the meeting, and then we broke up into our respective groups to go over our agendas. They gave us little banana breads for take home treats.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 8 x 2

I just realized that I skipped a day.

I was driving when I took this - probably not the safest idea. But this is an add for the 99cent store. It struck me as funny because look how loaded his shop is. There is so much stuff that it would be difficult to walk or to find anything. I thought it was funny because that is one of the things that I loath about this particular store. It is SOOOO crowded. And it looks just like this picture - every isle. So while this guy uses it as a selling point, I'm like...yeah, never going to that store. Funny.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 8

So for about 10 months I have been tutoring at this great little place in Walnut - about a 30 minute drive from Claremont. But recently, I have been working 1 or 2 hours a week, which is not worth the drive. A week ago I handed in my 2 week notice. This is one of my students.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 7

Loyd and I have a family tradition of watching The Daily Show and Colbert Report in the morning. We don't have cable, so we wait until they are available online. It is a great way to start the morning - with sarcasm and satire.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 6

I forgot to blog this yesterday. But we are still on track!

This is one of the books I am currently reading. It's a break from my fantasy novels, this is a mystery. It is set in Sweden or one of those northern European countries. The names and some of the terms are very foreign to me, but so far it is a great story. I am already engrossed.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 5

My new apron - a Christmas present from Sylvia. It goes well with my kitchen. :) I was digging in the cupboard looking for the cinnamon for our brinner - french toast. Yummy! I wasn't wearing any makeup so I hid my face. oh vanity!

365 Days of Pictures - Day 4

After church Loyd and I enjoyed lunch, reading, relaxing, and playing Skippo in the park. It was such a beautiful day. I start getting cranky if I'm inside for too long - and I make Loyd come outside and enjoy the weather with me.

365 Days of Pictures - Day 3

I went on a walk today, picking flowers on my way. And for my husband, made a tender bouquet.

p.s. I love winter in SoCal!

365 Days of Pictures - Day 2

This is one of my hobbies - card making. I am trying to send a birthday card to every niece and nephew (i did pretty good last year) and this year to add my in-laws and immediate family. PHEW! As you can see, I also made a card for one of my friends who just had her baby. Fun times.

and a bunch of memories

365 Days of Pictures - Day 1

My friend started a blog to take a picture a day and post something short about it. I loved her blog so much that I decided to do it as well.

As you well know, I am a sporadic blogger at best and just don't care at my worst...mainly I just don't care. But this could be fun. I don't use my camera enough anyway. 2 birds with 1...blog/pic.

After working out, Loyd likes to relax in a hot bubble bath reading from one of his favorite comedians.
